Preserving History at New Palace Hotel
 

The five-star Tazi Palace hotel, with its exquisite architecture, represents an original embodiment of Morocco's rich history and culture. This project aimed to address two challenges, for which we created unique opportunities. Firstly, the intricate spaces required a cascading design that paid homage to the shifted perspectives, resulting in an intriguing, multi-layered composition. The second challenge was to preserve the historical integrity of the existing building (formerly a private residence) and incorporate it into the overall experience.
 

In collaboration with renowned international consultants, we designed a legendary complex that turns the old palace into a public feature and an attractive focal point for guests of the adjacent new hotel. Perched atop a lush green hill on the outskirts of Tangier, the Tazi Palace appears monumental, offering panoramic views of the city and the distant Mediterranean Sea. The new hotel extension blends established Moroccan identity with a contemporary perspective, complementing the natural slope of the hill and its surroundings. Luxurious and intimate, the result is a unique place that adds charm to the enchanting city of Tangier.
